0-2-12 Michael Plymale II

BORN:(1819)   DIED:(9-5-1911)   BURIED:( Flovilla Cemetery )
Home State:( South Carolina / Georgia )

0-2-12 Michael Plymale II was born on a farm in Lexington County, South Carolina in 1819.   Unfortunately, very little is known of his early life.  He is thought to have moved to Butts County, Georgia in  1838.  He soon thereafter met his wife Sarah Agnes Moore, and they were married August 1st, 1841 (recorded in Butts County Courthouse in the old marriage book page 80).  She was born September 26th, 1825 and died February 26th, 1908.

0-2-12 Michael Plymale II was a soldier in the Confederate Army during the Civil War.   He was also a prosperous farmer and said to have been an honest and religious man.   In addition, he was a Master Mason and the Masonic Emblem is on his tombstone.   His gravestone inscription is as follows:

"M. Plymale born in Lexington, S.C. year 1819 moved to Ga. 1838 married Sarah Agnes Moore 1841 died Sept. 5, 1911."

He is buried in the Flovilla Cemetery in Flovilla, Georgia.
