General Directions:

Take Hwy 7 South out of Gallipolis, Ohio.  Go about 2 miles and then take a right onto Hwy 218.  The cemetery is high up on the hill, on the right side of the road within the first 1/2 mile of Hwy 218.  A gravel driveway will take you up the hill and fairly close to it.

The 0-1-13 Hugh Plymale Cemetery, as evidenced by the
photograph on the left, has been vandalized at some point in the past.

The good news is that the two photos below show that at least the cemetery has finally been cleaned up and can now be accessed.

Plymale, John (0-1-3) -Wayne County, WV.

Plymale, Michael (0-2) Old -South Carolina

I visited this location in June of 1998.  There is now a modern gravestone in the center of this plot.  The entire plot has been covered in concrete to preserve it from further deterioration. There are indeed two sandstone markers on either side of the new gravestone.

Unfortunately, the names on the new gravestone are not
Plymales.  It says "Edward Hare" and "Barbary Shealy."
A local neighbor there told me that the concrete and new
gravestone were put there about ten years ago by a lady
that lived nearby that was related to the Shealy family.
The original story came from 0-1-3-11-1-4 John Fred Plymale who apparently visited this location at some point in the 1960's

This is a photograph of a lone sandstone marker that was on the northeast side of what I believe was State Road 41-214, approximately two miles west of the cemetery mentioned above.   It's possible that this is the place that 0-1-3-11-1-4 John Fred Plymale was looking for.
